What am I reading?

Updated: Feb 6

I just wanted to share some of my favorite reads with you! Have you read any of the books below? What do you think about them? Share some of your favorites with me!

"The Book That Saved my Life" sounds incredibly dramatic but really, this book changed everything for me. Thinner, Leaner, Stronger was my introduction to macros and weight training. It was written specifically with women in mind and was an easy enough read that I

didn't get bored. Mike Matthews has the workouts nicely laid out and gives reasonable expectations for nutrition. It is a great starter book for anyone looking to learn more about strength training and nutrition.

This is the companion book to Thinner, Leaner, Stronger up above. This is the 1 year challenge manual that outlines the workouts in multiple phases for a full year. It includes templates for 3, 4, and 5 day workout plans.

I love anything by Dr. Stacy Sims. She is so knowledgeable in the world of women's fitness and has an intense passion to share her knowledge. Roar is a great book with reasonable and easily applicable suggestions for women. Dr. Sims' Facebook and Instagram accounts are great accounts to follow as well.

Need inspiration? Need motivation? This book will give you both! Tim Glover has worked with some of the most intense and driven professionals in the world and he gives insight to their mindset and what makes them so successful. I highly recommend it!

My final suggestion for this blog post is Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle by Tom Vetuno. In this book, Vetuno shares some of the secrets of bodybuilders so that everyday people like us can benefit from the ideas. You don't need to want to be a bodybuilder to find their habits and ideas helpful. I feel like a read somewhere that he is going to be putting out a cookbook which I will definitely get when it comes out!

I hope you find some great reading in the suggestions above! Feel free to share this list with anyone and shoot me an email if you have any favorite books that you think I'd like. I always love learning about great new books!
